TACKY LIGHT RIDE?
Once a year, RVA Racing trades watts for twinkle lights.
We decorate our bikes, ourselves and occasionally each other, gather a few hundred of our closest friends, and take over the streets of Richmond for a slow-moving tour of some of the city's finest - and tackiest - holiday displays.
IT’S NOT A RACE.

The ride is free. Families are welcome. Costumes are encouraged. Lights are practically mandatory. Holiday spirit should be applied irresponsibly

Dress up the bike. Wear the Santa suit. Put antlers on your helmet. Tow an inflatable snowman. Find a use for those 900 battery-powered LEDs you bought at Costco. The more lights, the better.

This is where the rolling party rolls. If you live, work, eat, drink, sell stuff, make stuff - or just happen to have a front yard - along the route, we want you involved.

This year, we're inviting Richmond to help make the Tacky Light Ride even tackier. If the route rolls past your house, your business, your block - or you just want in on the fun -we want you involved.
🏠 LIVE ON THE ROUTE?
Light up the house. Rally the neighbors. Drag the fire pit into the driveway. Make a sign. Crank the Christmas music. Give a few hundred blinking cyclists something to cheer about.
🏪 BUSINESS ON THE ROUTE?
Decorate the storefront. Bring your crew outside. Serve something warm. Make some noise. Turn your corner of Richmond into part of the party.
🙋 WANT IN ON THE PARTY?
You don't need a bike to be a part of this. Help RVA Racing keep a few hundred blinking humans rolling safely through Richmond.

The Tacky Light Ride is free. Always has been. We like it that way.
Local businesses and community partners help us keep a few hundred blinking humans rolling through Richmond safely - and help us make the party a little bigger, brighter and tackier every year.
