What began in 2021 as a grassroots effort to bring real cross-country Olympic racing back to Virginia has grown into the Virginia State XCO Championship Series.

Know your start time, know your lap count, and be ready when your category is called. From the opening whistle to the final sprint, every position matters in the race for the Virginia State XCO Championship.
The tables show standard lap counts. Panorama Farm and Blue Ridge School are currently tracking at one lap fewer than standard. Final lap counts may be adjusted based on course conditions, safety, and race-day decisions. Keep an eye open for the pre-race email sent after registration closes and always check the final posted schedule before your start.

Register early, save a few bucks, and get ready to race. Whether you're chasing a state championship jersey or lining up for your first XCO race, there's a place for you at the start.
Pricing increases as race day approaches. Register early and keep the extra cash for tires, snacks, or the inevitable post-race burrito.
Discount code rule: Eligible discount codes must be redeemed at least 14 days before the applicable race. Don't wait until race week and expect the code to work.
USA CYCLING LICENSING
This is a USA Cycling-sanctioned series. Riders must meet the applicable USA Cycling licensing requirements for their category. Annual licenses and eligible one-day licenses are available according to USA Cycling rules.
Racing for national qualification points? Confirm that your license type, category, and eligibility meet the current USA Cycling requirements. A one-day license does not automatically guarantee eligibility for national points.
Your category, age eligibility, and licensing status are your responsibility. Verify them before registration.
STATE CHAMPIONSHIP ELIGIBILITY & POINTS
ALL THREE ROUNDS REQUIRED. Riders must compete in all three races to be eligible for a Virginia State XCO Championship title and jersey.
CUMULATIVE POINTS. Championship standings are determined by total points earned across all three rounds. No dropped results.
STAY IN YOUR CATEGORY. Riders must compete in the same scoring category throughout the series to remain championship-eligible.
DNFs STILL EARN POINTS. Riders who start but do not finish are ranked behind finishers for scoring purposes.
EVERY FINISH MATTERS. Consistency, determination, and strong results across all three rounds decide the champions.
